Holiday and Leisure Tips for Students

last updated: 12/27/2022

The holiday is a break for us to get away from lessons and calm ourselves mentally and physically. You can take advantage of it in the funniest and most useful way.

Renew routines

Renewing your daily routine is one of the first steps you will take. You can schedule the time you will spend sleeping, food and entertainment in the most healthy way. Avoid staying up late and sleeping until noon. When you get back to school, it will be a hard habit to break.

Just do it!

We said that resting and relaxing during the holiday is one of our basic rules. However, students can also use their breaks for whatever purpose they have in mind.

For example, "I'm going to read a lot of classic books in my free time" or "I'm going to take a swimming lesson in summer", "I'm looking forward to learning Arabic on holiday". Don't skip your plans or regret it later.

Stay Active!

Do not spend your whole holiday in bed. Life is all about experiencing new things. So try to plan each day. Here are some ideas for those moments when you don’t know what to do:

  • Get busy with sports
  • Learn chess
  • Go for a walk with your siblings and parents
  • Have a picnic
  • Travel with friends

It will be good for you to get busy with sports, learn chess, go for a walk with your parents or siblings, go to the park and have a picnic and travel with friends. Staying active helps to keep your mind sharp and your immune system healthy before you start your next semester.

Make time for soul

Mindfulness is an awareness or focusing your attention on the present moment. Mindfulness has been getting a lot of attention from people in the last few years. It is important for a healthy life.

  • Reduces stress and anxiety
  • Boosts compassion and happiness hormones
  • Improves overall mental health
  • Increases focus
  • Keeps your mind calm

The best example of mindfulness is meditation or yoga. If it is boring for you, you may do breathing practices, walk in nature, or just feel the present moment. These will give you amazing results. You will start the next semester as a refreshed student.

How about volunteering?

Yes, we talked about things like not tiring ourselves and taking time to rest. But being a volunteer in a dog shelter; orphanage or nursing home or participating in environmental events is not a bad idea.

By doing this, you will do well for others and get valuable memories and experiences. There is nothing more satisfying than knowing that you are doing a favor to people and the world.
